Well it's been a while since I posted in my blog, mainly because after breaking my ankle I was out of action for a while.
While I was sat around feeling sorry for myself, I decided to join the Million Dollar Body Club and enter the Transformation Contest for December 2008. It was only $38 for the quarter, so around $3.00 per week so I thought, why not?
I updated my Beachbody profile page, answered the essay questions and hit the submit button. I didn't think anything of it again until I got a call from Beachbody. I thought they were calling to see why I hadn't done much with my coaching business since signing up as a coach, or to perhaps try and sell me something else. I was asked how it was going and I replied that I'd just bought a new house and had been really busy trying to get everything sorted out for that. The guy then says not to worry and that he wouldn't keep me but could he just leave me with something. I said "sure" to which he responded "we'd like to help you out with your new home by giving you $10,000 because you just won the transformation contest for December". I swear my jaw hit the floor....imediately followed by some jumping up and down.
I could hardly believe my ears and even watching the announcement video, it still felt like it wasn't happening to me. I was only ever in this to get fit and healthy. I just entered the competition on a whim. How glad am I that I did?
